When I was growing up, I was always told things like

“When you grow up you’ll understand”…

“Life begins when you _____(have kids, get married, live on your own), blah blah blah😑 “

But you know what, that is really lack not desire. Life begins when you live.

It begins when you choose you.

It begins when you have decided to prioritize what’s important to you, your health, mental well-being, the things and people that you love, anything that brings you joy.

The funny thing is that this will look different from one person to the next.

Do you know what? I am more than OK with that.

About two years ago I intentionally began to make myself OK with creating my own peace happiness and joy.

It doesn’t always come like I expect but it does always come better than I could’ve ever imagined it.

I’ve learned to take massive action.

I’ve learned to stop needing validation to move forward.

I’ve learned to lean into my own intuition.

A lot of people say they do this but live like they don’t🤷🏽‍♀️

So here’s an intentional thanks to my ancestors… it is because of who you are that I am who I am. and will be whoever TF I want to be… today and every day I choose me.
